そろそろ熱い夏の訪れを感じますね！
ということで今回は、熱いメタルの曲、Godsmack (ゴッドスマック) の「Under Your Scars」を翻訳いたしました♪
ゴッドスマックは1995年に結成されたアメリカのロックバンドで、結成から全8枚のアルバムを発表しており、「Under Your Scars」は2018年にリリースされた7枚目のアルバム「When Legends Rise」に収録されています。
バンドにとって、楽曲スタイルをヘヴィメタルよりハードロック寄りに移した初のアルバムです。
ちなみに、バンドのヴォーカル兼ギタリストのサリー・エレナは、レディー・ガガと親しく、「Under Your Scars が書けたのも、彼女と対談をした際に、人は皆、心と体に自身を蝕んでしまうほどの深い傷を負っているということを教わったからだ」と明かしているそうです。
体が傷つけば手当てをします。心の傷には包帯を巻いてあげることもできません。しかし、心の傷ついた人を抱きしめてあげれば、私たちが包帯の代わりになってあげられるのかもしれません。
