レッド・チェッペリンは1970年～1975年にかけてが全盛期であり、ブルースやフォークソング等の様々なジャンルの音楽に影響を受けつつ、厚いエレキギターのサウンドがあるのが特徴とされています。ハードロックやメタルの先駆けとなったサウンドの一つです。
