この曲はKansas(カンサス)というアメリカのロックバンドの曲です。
こちらのバンドは改名しており、カンサスの前は「ホワイト・クローバー・バンド」という名前で活動していたそうです。かわいい名前ですよね！
「Carry On My Wayward Son」はKansasの4番目のアルバム、「Leftoverture」(永遠の序曲)に収録されています。中でもこの曲は「幸せの旅路」とうい映画の主題歌として起用されたことがきっかけで大ヒット。最終的には400枚を売り上げた、Kansasの出世曲でもあるんです！
この曲の間奏部分は正にロックの響きですね・・・！最高にかっこいい歌詞にもしびれます！
人生に疲れてしまったときに聴けば、きっと元気になれること間違いなしの名曲です♪
